Report on Leo Orientation Camp 2012

On the 4th till 6th of August, 15 Leo’s from SMK Assunta attended the Leo Orientation Camp which was organized by the Leo Club of Petaling Jaya Integrity. Everyone gathered at A&W before taking off to the camp site at Taman Wetland Putrajaya. On the 1st day of camp, we were thought to build a tent for ourselves. We then introduced ourselves to each other by playing two ice-breaking games. Strong bonds among the Leo Clubs of SMK Assunta, SMK Taman Petaling, SMK Taman SEA and SMK Damansara Jaya were formed. At night, we formed groups and had a treasure hunt. After the treasure hunt, everyone went to their tents to rest up for the following day.
On the 2nd day, we woke up at around 6 in the morning. We did some exercises and went jogging. Then in the afternoon we had a lot of fun games which helped everyone to cooperate and work hard to reach the target of the game. We were also thought how important communication skills are. In the evening, we had a Frisbee match. Although it was tiring, but everyone had fun playing. After dinner, we had fellowship night at the bonfire. Each club were did performances like group singing, teaching everyone a dance and a game. Afterwards, we played a warrior game. After all the excitement, everyone went to their tents and had a good nights rest.
On the 3rd day which was the final day, after taking down our tents, everyone gathered at the common place and had a representative from each club to share their planning for the upcoming fiscal year. After sharing, it was time for lunch. The Leos spent their remaining lunch time by playing two games. Soon after that, it was time to adjourn the meeting. After meeting was adjourned, the Leos were made to clean up the place by sweeping and picking up rubbish. Before the bus came to take the Leos back to A&W, everyone spent that remaining time to take pictures and exchange contact. The bus arrived around 2:45 in the afternoon, and took everyone back to A&W. In the end, everyone agreed that the going  for the camp was a great experience.
