Colours of Hope 2.0 Charity Run

     On the 3rd of April 2016, 2 Leos had participated in the 'Colours of Hope 2.0' Charity Run held at INTI International College Subang Jaya. This run was organised by the Leo Clubs of INTI International College Subang Metro, Sunway Metro, PORTMAN College Metro, Heriot-Watt Metro, Damansara Metro, Metro Methodist College Kuala Lumpur, SMK Seksyen 4 Bandar Kinrara, and SMK Bandar Utama 3. 

     Although we did not manage to get a placing at the end of the run, we enjoyed the journey thoroughly. After the run, all the participants then threw colour powder at each other while music accompanied them. Overall, it was a successful and highly-enjoyable event. We would like to congratulate the Leo Clubs on successfully organising this event and we hope to attend next year’s Colours of Hope Charity Run. ROAR!

Project Empathy 2016

     On the 2^nd of April 2016, the Leo Club of SMK Assunta, along with the Leo Clubs of Sri Kuala Lumpur and our sister club, SMK Taman SEA, had jointly-organised “Project Empathy 2016” which was held at Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam. 14 Leos and probates as well as 4 Interactors from SMK Assunta had participated in this project which started at 12 p.m. The project began with introductions and roll calls, followed by the organisation of the participants into 8 teams. What was special about each team was that they each had a special member with their own infirm.

     The teams had their lunch before proceeding to the station games. Each station had a game for the team members and a separate game for the infirmed ones. The project ended with the closing ceremony and a group photo. We would like to thank everyone who have supported us in this joint project as well as congratulate the Leo Clubs of Sri Kuala Lumpur and SMK Taman SEA on jointly-organising with us a very successful and meaningful event which taught us all to be more empathetic especially to those who are not as fortunate as us. ROAR!

3rd Region 5 Board of Directors Meeting 2016

     On the 2^nd of April 2016, 3 Leos had attended the 3^rd Region 5 Board of Directors Meeting held at Taylor’s College Subang Jaya from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. The meeting kicked off with the meeting being called to order followed by the Leo pledge and roll call. Each club then sent their representatives to give a short presentation of past projects and events organised from January to March 2016. Reports were given by the Organising Chairpersons of the past regional projects, followed by talks concerning the use of MyLCI. Overall, the meeting was successful and we had learned a lot through the presentations and talks. ROAR!
