Fun With Nature : )

Heyy Leos!
Alright this post is especially for all those who will be joining us on the ZOO TRIP tomorrow.
Below are a few important things that you have to take note of :

1. Leos are not allowed to purchase anything FOR THE KIDS from the souvenir shops.

2. In the bus, leos are required to be seated with one kid each

3. The kid they sit with in the bus is their ‘anak’ for the rest of the zoo trip and the leos are responsible of taking good care and ensuring the safety of the kids.

4. Leos are required to hold on to their anaks at all times during the zoo trip. Do not let them or yourself linger around!

5. Leos must listen to instructions given by Leya and Darshina during the trip to avoid getting lost in the zoo.

6. Leos or Leos anaks who want to go to the washrooms must be sure to inform the teachers, Leya or Darshina before leaving.

7. Snapping of photos in the zoo is allowed but do not get carried away and lose the rest of the group. Follow the group at all times.

8. Leos are only allowed to wear their Leo T-shirt and jeans ( official t-shirt, no IU t-shirt or the maroon t-shirt or any other previous year’s leo t-shirts, no shorts or skirts. Only jeans/long pants! )

9. Leos are advised to wear sport shoes.

10. Leos must be at gate B on the 31st of Oct, Sat sharp at 7.30a.m.

11. Those who have not passed up their permission slips and money will STRICTLY not be allowed to board the bus.

12. Leos are advised to have their breakfast before coming to school as only lunch will be provided at the zoo.

so, my dear Leos please abide by the rules and take note of the important instructions above to ensure our project runs smoothly without any problems.

Leos, you may bring your cameras and handphones along if you wish but it is your own responsibility to take care of your belongings. Video cameras are only allowed into the zoo with a total payment of RM15.

Opport-UNITY camp

It's time to bond!

Date : 13th November 2009 – 14th November 2009
Day : Friday & Saturday
Venue : School
Duration : 2 days / 1 night camp
Time : 5pm on 13th November – 6pm on 14th November
Camp participation fees : RM15

Target group : Form 3 and 4 leos. This event will also be promoted to the form 2’s as a part of our Membership Drive project.

Please join in the fun! You can register on the board in school.

About Us

Our target: This fiscal year, we, the LEO Club of Assunta Secondary wish to focus on two main charities namely breast cancer and cervical cancer. We as the young women of Assunta wish to create awareness of this two very deadly diseases among our friends at school and also help prevent this disease from causing futher harm. We also wish to do charity within our school walls as we believe charity begins at home.

House Rules:

1. Please be present and punctual for ALL meetings..."Better late then never" statement does not apply to our meetings.

2. This rule is new. If you miss even JUST ONE MEETING, you have to send in a letter to state a reason. Or eles...WARNING LETTERS!!!
3. The formal dresscode for all general meetings is standard. Wear you leo t-shirt with your vest/blazer and pinafore/prefect skirt/kurung . No shorts allowed unless told otherwise.

4. When attending other school events, FULL Leo uniform is a must and make sure you have a permission slip. Get the permission slip from the Organising Chairperson of the event.

5. Keep a smile on your face at all times.

District 308 B2 Leo Camp 2009

DISTRICT 308 B2 LEO CAMP 2009,

DATE : 4th to 6th DECEMBER 2009

VENUE: White Resort Camp, Balik Pulau, Penang.

THEME: ENERGIZE GROWTH

Registration fee for Leo is RM 100.00 per person register before 15th November 2009, including 2-nights accommodation based on shared room, 2(two) breakfasts, 3(three) lunches, 1(one) dinner, 2(two) suppers & Insurance coverage during the camp. The registration will be limited for 150 pax and based on first come first serve basis.

The objectives of this camp are:
• To create and foster a spirit of understanding amongst Leos in the District 308 B2
• To instill in Leo members the safety and appreciation of the environment
• To provide activities promoting teamwork, discipline, tolerance, independence and self-endurance
• To encourage sharing of ideas throughout the District 308 B2
• To develop leadership potential among Leos

Activities such as Cooking Competition, Team-building, Treasure Hunt and Fellowship will be further value-added with other camping skills sessions like the pitching of tents, selecting campsites, and starting a fire.

To ensure that your place in the camp is reserved, kindly return the registration form, duly signed, no later than 15th November 2009: -
(a) Official Registration Form

(c) Appropriate amount of payment in the form of crossed cheque or demand draft payable to:

(d) 2 (two) colour passport size photographs of each participant (compulsory)

Note:
* Groups will be divided before the Leo Camp. Please refer to website for more information.

** During the cooking competition, there must be 5(five) dishes, consisting of either a chicken or fish, rice or noodle, vegetable, soup and dessert or drink. Food and utensils should be self brought by the participants. The group members during the Leo Camp should contact each other for the arrangement.

Movie Drive

It's after PMR and time to party for us Form 3 students. Thus, in conjunction with "merdeka" our Leo club is planning a movie drive. Details are as stated below:
