The Leo Club of SMK Assunta held their much awaited 43rd Annual Installation themed Janus: Looking To The Past And The Future on the 11th of July 2014 at the Dewan Sister Enda, SMK Assunta. The event commenced at 2.00 in the afternoon with the arrival of guests. Soon followed an array of speeches from the Organizing Chairperson, Outgoing President, the President of the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya and our principal.
The event soon came to its highlight with the installation and induction of the new Leo members as well as the newly elected Board of Directors. It was definitely a star moment for all the Leos. All invited guests were invited to congratulate the newly elected Board of Directors on stage. After these formalities, the newly elected President, Leo Michelle Hee, made her way to the podium to present her speech.
As the afternoon began to slowly move into evening, the perfomances and a lucky draw ceremony began. It was ample fun with the very creative lucky draw and even more out of this world prizes. The crowd also go to enjoy many entertaining performances by some amazingly talented Assuntarians, a singing duo Beats and Strings and not forgetting the pumped up dance moves from the Kickerz.
The event ended just before 6.00 pm and the guests proceeded to the back of the hall for light refreshments. The Leos had a wonderful opportunity to bond and make new friends with many Leos from different clubs. It was truly a splendid day with many happy memories.
