The main purpose of the run was to raise awareness for palliative care as well to raise funds of Hospis Malaya. Before flag-off, the participants went to the registration booth to take their attendance. Shortly after that, there was a warm up crew that led the warm up routine. At 7.30am, all the participants went to the starting point of the race. While the participants were running, they were sprayed with 5 different colours for every kilometer they ran. Among the 5 colours, there were Purple that represented Cancer, Pink that represented HIV or AIDS, Green that represented organ failure, Dark Blue that represented neurological disorders and Yellow that represented congenital defects.
After the 5km run, each participant was given a certificate and 3 packets or coloured powders which were hazard free. When all the participants were well rested, the committee started the prize giving ceremony to the Top 20 for each category. The coloured that were given to the participants were used during the footloose session to spice up the moment also to symbolise their respective codees related to palliative care.
The Leos enjoyed the event very much. The event was definitely a success.
