On 14th November 2015, 10 Leos visited Precious Children’s Home, a “Spotlight On Children” project. The aim of the project was to provide help to the unfortunate children who grew up without the loving care of their parents. There were 13 children in the orphanage ranging from 6 to 18 years of age. The visit was from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. We donated stationeries and 58 books that were collected from the previous book donation drive. During lunch, we passed out nasi lemak to the kids.
The Leos then helped to
clean out some of the spoiled items and moved some furniture. We also taught
the children a way of keeping their cupboards clean and help them with folding
their clothes. Shortly after that, we had a brief ice breaking session with the
kids to get to know them better. We even took the kids out to a nearby park to
play and all of us enjoyed the time that was spent. It was overall a very fun
project and being able to make the children smile was an experience we would
never forget.
