On the 28th of January 2016, 6 Leos had participated in the ‘Locks For School’ project in conjunction with the School Service Month. The aim of this project was to provide the frequently utilised Sister Enda Hall of SMK Assunta with brand new padlocks that would ensure the security of the hall.
The
old and rusted padlocks were unlocked, removed and then replaced by the new
ones that had been bought. The Leos had some difficulty unlocking the padlocks
as half of them were quite aged and the locking mechanisms were rusted. The
padlocks and their keys were colour coded to make it easier for the school
authorities to identify which key was suited to each padlock.
After
changing all the padlocks and securing them in place, the main entrance to the
hall was locked and the keys were returned to the office. Overall, the project
was a successful one and it went smoothly. We hope that the new locks will
benefit the school and make it easier for everyone to unlock the doors and
utilise the hall. This project marks the end of the School Service Month, but
we will continue to serve our school faithfully as our school motto implies,
‘Ad Veritatem Per Caritatem’, ‘To Truth Through Charity’. ROAR!
