Opport- UNITY camp !

Date : 13th November 2009 – 14th November 2009
Day : Friday & Saturday
Duration : 2 days / 1 night camp
Time : 5 pm(13/11) – 6 pm(14/11)
Camp participation fees : RM15

Target group : All form 3 and 4 leos. This event will also be promoted to the form 2’s as part of our Membership Drive project.


Objective :
1.To develop leadership skills among leos.
2. To foster good friendship amongst leos.
3. To enchance organization skills amongst committee members.
4. To promote leo to the form 2’s who will be moving up to form 3 next year.
5. To teach leos how to work together in unity through the many team building games during the camp.
6. To build confidence and boost the leo spirit in leos



ATTIRE

For Opening Ceremony :

Leos : Official Club T-shirt and blazer/vest with jeans/shorts
Non-Leos : School PJ t-shirt with jeans/shorts

For physical activities, indoor games, seminar & sleeping :

- Club T-shirt and vest/blazer
- Collar or round neck t-shirts (dark)
- Track Suit/track bottom (night use)
- Shorts (knee length)
- Rubber/canvas shoes (school/jogging/sport shoes)
- Socks
- Bathing Towels & face towel
- Cap/sweater/jacket (for cold night)
- Sleeping bag/sleeping mat
- The brown head scarf that comes along with our school apron/ any hanky/ bandana that can be used to blindfold yourself.


TOILETRIES

- Personal toiletries (bathing soap, tooth brush & paste, hair shampoo & drier etc.)
- Pail and scoop for bathing
- Insect repellent
- Sun screen lotion

ACCESSORIES

- Personal torch light
- Camera / Video camera (under own care)
- Musical Instruments- guitar,harmonica,violin,flute (opening ceremony)

SNACKS

Advised to bring along some cookies, biscuits, instant beverages, buns/bread and plenty of drinking water for supper and tea break.

BREAK CAMP

Participants are not allowed to leave the camp halfway without your parent/guardian verbal/letter of consent unless one is medically sick!

Day 1

5.00 pm : Arrival of participants
5.10 pm : Tent building
6.00 pm : Arrival of District Chairman, Lion Alan Thoo
6.20 pm : Opening Ceremony, Speeches & Video presentation
8.00 pm : Dinner
9.00 pm : Ice breaking, games & activities
11.30 pm : Supper
12.00 am : Games & activities
2.00 am : wash up & bed time

Day 2

7.00 am : Rise and shine & wash up
7.30 am : Morning exercise
8.00 am : Breakfast
8.30 am : Games & activities
10.00 am : Team building/ leadership seminar and activities by RCC, Lion Clayton Tan
12.30 pm : Lunch time
1.30 pm : Games & activities
4.00 pm : Tea break & pack up
5.00 pm : Camp Review & Group photo
6.00 pm : Departure
