A Report on Lung Foundation Bazaar
On Saturday 28th of March, the Leo club of Assunta headed to Kampung Sungai Penchala to join the Lung Foundation Bazaar to raise funds for Lung Cancer patients. This was a joint project with the Interact club of Assunta. We set up a stall at the ZA Studio and did nail art, henna and hairspray to raise funds. Our stall donated a total amount amount of RM193.80 to the Lung Foundation of Malaysia.
We arrived there around 8.30am and started to set up our stall. All us us worked together to set up the stall by displaying the nail paints, henna and hair sprays on the given table. After 15 minutes, we finished setting up the stall and visitors slowly started to come.
At 9.30am, there were many visitors walking around to see what every stall was selling to raise funds. Children and parents walked by our stall and came with coupons to get hairspray, henna paint and nail painting.
Then, we changed shift at 12pm. The next batch of Leos and Interactors took over the stall while some of us took a break. Each of them were in-charge of different things. Many people visited out stall and our past prime minister attended the bazaar. Around 4pm, everything started to slow down and the crowd got smaller. One hour later, we started to pack up.
After we finished packing up, we all went home happily. This was a great day and each of us had enjoyed in the bazaar and also gained many experiences throughout this project. We are glad to know that with every penny we donate, we are helping another individual.
