On the 2nd of February 2013, Leo Club of SMK Assunta held a project called "Painting the Flower Beds”. This project was to enrich the school while beautifying the school view.
This project was to paint the flower bed wall which was in front and beside the school office. This project started at 9.00 a.m. and ended at 3.00 p.m. There were 12 Leos who took part in this project. Puan Betty and Lion Malcolm bought the paint, brushes and other things which were needed. Firstly, we started to clean the flower bed. We plucked all the unwanted weeds in the flower bed. Then, we washed the walls with water. We scrubbed the wall to remove all the old paint by using the scraper. After we scrubbed, we started to paint the walls. We used brown colour to paint the upper side of the wall while the rest of the wall were painted white in colour.
Next, we painted the writing of "SMK ASSUNTA" which is near the parking lot. We painted the words in white. We then had some rest. We started painting again at the same area. After we painted, we cleaned the place. Although it was a sunny day, but we still enjoyed painting the flower bed of our school. Besides, as the Principal, Puan Rita was really delightful on our service to the school, she had sponsored the paint. It was an unforgettable and wonderful experience that we had had.
