50th Anniversary Logo Design Competition for the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya

Attention Leo's!

Leading to the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya 50th Anniversary celebration, the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya is organizing a “50th Anniversary Logo Design Competition” open to all Leo Clubs under their sponsorship. Here are the competition details:

Logos are to be submitted in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format or in High Resolution PSD / JPEG or GIF.

The Logo should signify 50 years of service by the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya.

All Logos submitted are property of Lions Club of Petaling Jaya.

The winning Logo selected by the Lions Club shall be used on all stationary,
letterhead, badges, website and communication materials of the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya during its 50th year in service.

The designer of the winning logo is sponsored on a free trip to the 37th MD 308 Leo Forum (Covers forum registration fees).

This competition is open to members of the Leo Clubs sponsored by Lions Club of Petaling Jaya only.

***On the 27th March, there will be a Go Green Exhibition and the Eco-Fashionista (Go Green Fashion Show) at Subang Parade, Subang Jaya from 2.00pm-6.00pm.


The main purpose this project is carried out is because we would like to go green for one whole week. Furthermore, we would like to carry out the ‘3R’ (Recycle, Reuse and Reduce) within the project period and hopefully it will become an application in our daily lives.

Howdy Leos!
Here are the latest updates on our "TASTY FOOD" Trip tomorrow!!

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDERS!!

1. Those of you who have recieved your permission slips, please get your parents to sign it and bring it back tomorrow.

2. Those of you who have not taken your permission slips, the moment you reach school tomorrow, get your parents to wait, grab a permission slip from Saliza and let your parents sign it before they leave!! REMEMBER, NO PERMISSION SLIP, NO BOARDING THE BUS!

3. Please bring along RM20 for your entrance ticket which cost RM15 and bus fare, RM5. Pay up first thing in the morning tomorrow to Eva Chen.

4. Please make sure you are properly dressed. New Club t-shirt + jeans!

5. Be at Gate B by 7.30am or you'll be left behind! Seriously, we are not going to entertain any late comers. So, please be PUNCTUAL!

6. Also, please bring along your own bottle of water! If possible bring along some biscuits/buns/cakes/chips so we can share and eat them on the way back from the bread factory.

POSTPONED "TASTY FOOD" PROJECT IS NOW ON!!

Yeah! Let's all get hyped up over our visit to the HIGH 5 BREAD FACTORY/TOWN once again, as our "TASTY FOOD" project is now back on track!

Details of the project:

Date: 19th March 2010 (Friday)

Time: 8am-12.30pm

Venue: High 5 Bread Factory/Town

Fee: RM 15 (entrance ticket at student's rate)

Attire: Leo T-shirt (green) with jeans/ long pants. No shorts or skirts please! Wear sport shoes if possible, as you will be walking around alot.

Project Agenda:

7.30am - Meet up at school (Gate B)

8.30am - Arrival at Children's Home

9.20am - Arrival at High 5 Bread factory

9.30am-11am - Tour around the bread factory!

11.20am - Departure from High 5 Bread factory

12pm - Drop off the orphans at the Children's home.

12.30pm - Back to school.

What are we watching?

'Letters to God'
This family drama follows the true story of a young boy whose life is put on the line when he is diagnosed with cancer. Through his letters to God about the confusion and faith that come with his situation, he soon becomes a surprising source of hope and inspiration for those in his neighborhood. 9.00am - Meet up at school
9.30am - Arrival at children's home, PUSAT JAGAAN KANAK-KANAK SAYANG.
10.00am - Arrival at Sunway Pyramid
10.00-11.00am - Purchase of tickets and finger foods, Photography session.
11.00-1pm - Movie time!
1pm-2pm - Lunch at Mc Donalds (bring enough money for your food)
2.30pm - Arrival at children's home.
3.00pm - Arrival back in school

39th Annual International Understanding Day 2010

Here comes another BIG BIG BIG project for our club! As i've announced during our recent meeting, our IU this year will be regarding Haiti. The theme is "Rejwenn Haiti" which actually means recover Haiti. The tentative date for our IU is on the 24th April 2010. So, that doesn't leave us with much time. To those of you who are interested to perform, pls send me an sms or email. Auditions will be held around the 1st week of April. So, that gives you enough time to prepare an item for the audition during the holiday. And, i'm looking for talented SINGERS, KEYBOARDIST, DRUMMERS and GUITARISTS. Look out for the date for the auditions on the board and the blog!

All profits raised will be donated to five orphanages in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor area and they will be performing for us too at that night.

BRUSH IT WHITE!!

Hey all you amazing Leo's out there!
We are planning to paint the exterior walls of the band room. So, we need your help to create a spectacular design for a mural on the wall. We really need your creative minds to work and help us out. The theme of your design should be about music and if possible insert a quote.
