Leo 8 Hour Drought Lockdown 2015

On the 29th of August 2015, 4 Leos attended the Leo 8 Hour Drought Lockdown organised by the Leo Club of Sri Kuala Lumpur. The event was held at the USJ11/5 field from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. This event was to encourage participants to appreciate fresh, clean water that we are so privileged to have an abundance of supply to. It started off with a speech by the organizing chairperson and also by a representative from World Vision. Before we were separated into 10 groups, we had an ice breaking session by playing 'Human Bingo'. After that, each group was given two water bottles as a starter. Each group could get more bottles of water by winning the games at each station. The team with the most number of water bottles wins. Overall, it was an amazing and fun event. Congratulations to the Leo Club of Sri Kuala Lumpur on their successful project! ROAR!

A Visit To An Orphanage

On the 29th of August 2015, 7 Leos participated in a project called ‘A Visit To An Orphanage’ in conjunction with the 58th Merdeka celebration. The venue was at Rumah Hope in Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya. The main objective of this project was to teach the children how they can make use of recyclable items to make handicrafts. We bonded with the children through interesting games and also donated some art essentials for the children’s use. We brought goody bags for the children as well. In respect to the caretaker's request, we have not posted up any photos with the children online. Overall, it was a successful project and we hope the children had fun during the visit. ROAR!
