A report on "Walk For Children: One Malaysia"

On the 22nd of May, 8 Leos and 5 other Assuntarians took part in the Walk For Children: One Malaysia event organized by the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL). The event was organized to raise money for Shelter Home. The Leos and Assuntarians gathered at Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur at 8 am for the event. We registered ourselves and got a free t-shirt that was themed for the cause and went to the main area for some warm up sessions led by Get Active Personal Fitness.

Then the walk started at 9.26 am and we went our separate ways as there were different routes which were, 3 km, 5km, and 1 km (handicap friendly) routes. Most of the Leos and Assuntarians finished the walk in an hour, and we went and got some light beverages supplied there as we cooled ourselves down. The weather was not on our side, as it poured heavily soon after that. But that did not stop us from having fun.

Even though the rain was pouring heavily, there were many interesting performances lined up starting with the cultural show sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, followed by the ISKL band "The Sects", the ISKL Singers, and ISKL breakdancing group the "Soul Bratz". The performances were mind blowing and the event ended by a performance by rappers Caprice and Te'Xtrano.

We said our byes after we were done, and departed at 1.24 pm. Despite the rain, the Leos and Assuntarians gave positive feedbacks and they hope that more events like this would take place.
