A Report on Chinese New Year Gifts

Many great ideas were being suggested but it had exceeded the budget. Therefore, a simple gift was proposed. It was a red gift bag which had a mandarin orange, a Chinese decoration together with a stapled note which stated, “It’s a brand New Year! Wishing you endless happiness, fortunes and peace! Gong Xi Fa Cai.” On the 14th and 15th of January, 120 of these items were bought in old town.  It was pretty reasonable as it was the Chinese New Year season.
It was packed on the 18th of January to make sure the oranges weren’t spoilt due to the hot and humid weather and was placed into boxes. On Thursday morning, at around 7.30am with the help of Leo Karishma, the gifts were distributed to not only the teachers but the workers too. The teachers were delighted and were thankful while the workers were elated and appreciated it very much. They were really touched by it.
