On Wednesday, 23rd January our fellow Leos attended the CLD
Programme at the Bilik Kuliah. The programme lasted for two hours. Lion
Shirley, Lion Nelson and Leo Jeremy were invited to give a talk on what Leo is
all about and how we Leos can do for the club to gain more points. They also
told us about the different awards that they give to those deserving Leos at
Forum. He deeply encouraged us to join the Lions Club after we graduate. He
told us all about the Lions Club and that is recognized worldwide so that
whenever you are in a foreign country and in need of help, just go to a Lions
Club and help will be provided.
By attending this programme I believed the Leos
consisting of Form 4 and 5 gained a lot of benefits. We were told the history
of Leo which is how it came about to the motto of the club. After one hour of
learning all about the club, we sat for a test to test our knowledge skills.
The test consisted of three papers. The first page was the Leo pledge, second
page was objective questions and the third page was subjective questions which
some of us found quite tricky. By the end of the day we all went home with a
big smile as the test was finally over!
