Animal Friends

On the day of 23rd November 2013, Leo Club of SMK Assunta and Leo Club of SMK Taman Sea had a visit to Zoo Negara. We brought the children from 2 different homes there along too. Not only that, all of the leos brought various type of food, drinks and cutleries for the lunch on that day. After alighting from the bus, all of us were very excited to see the animals, especially the children from the homes. But first of all, we had to wait for the other Leos to help us to buys tickets. After we wore the wrist band, we straight away went in to the zoo.

The very first animal that we saw was the donkey. Then we went to the show amphitheatre to see how the animals will entertain the visitors of Zoo Negara. The Show Amphitheatre was almost full of audience. There was an animal trainer started to show us how seal will hop in to the hoop from the water. Then, the animal trainer threw the unused plastic bottle to the water. The seal then picked up the unused plastic with its mouth and put it in a tong. The seal was not only intelligent, it also taught us not to throw rubbish into the sea.
There were also 2 long tailed animals to grab the pole for the support of body. Then, there were a lot of flamingos came out and a white parrot which is called Hatchiko. The animal trainer allowed us to take pictures with the white parrot if we pay RM10. After we had watched 4 types of animals of the show amphitheatre, we had to go to see the other animals because we will be running out of time if we keep watching the show.

After the show amphitheatre, we went to see the house of penguins and the fishes. There were a lot of different types of fishes that we can seldom see. Later, we went to the Malaysian River Journey. Inside, there were a lot of various types of fishes, sea turtles and historical houses last time where the sea people lived. After we came out from there, we went to the Bee Museum. There were many different types of bees and also there were bees that were still alive, came out from its nest. Some of us bought honey sticks and it was delicious.

Next, we went to take a break since we had walked quite a long time. We had lunch after the break. Some of us brought Nasi Lemak, cream puffs, egg tarts, breads, cake and so on. There was a lot of food left although our stomach was full. Then, we head to see the other animals that have not seen yet. We saw deer, monkeys, hippopotamus, zebra, giraffe, white tigers and normal tigers, lions, elephants, buffalos, tapir, goats, cows, rhino, camel, kangaroo and so on.

At about 2.30, we had to leave because there will be a charity walk going on later. Every one left happily despite how tired they were because they had a lot of fun during the trip. We hope to visit the zoo again if we had another chance next time.
