Choose2Protect Talk by AIESEC Malaysia

On the 4th of September 2014, AIESEC of the University of Malaya organized a Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) Awareness campaign called Choose2Protect in SMK Assunta. AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organization focusing on self-development, leadership development and positive impact on society. The campaign is the initiative of Durex Malaysia together with NGOs like Pertubuhan Pertolongan Wanita (WAO) with support from Reckitt Benckiser Malaysia aiming to educate young Malaysians on the STIs subject. Around 50 students had attended the talk.

The members of AIESEC showed us a presentation on what STIs are, the type of infections that are spread, the causes of the infections and how to prevent it. We also had the chance to play a few games now and then, which were really fun and enjoyable.

Then, the members of AIESEC talked a bit about the countries each of them was from. The workshop ended at about 3.30pm, with the gifts of appreciation ceremony and the group photo shoot. It was an enjoyable workshop and we all learned more about STIs from it.
