BLIND LEADING THE BLIND (PART 2)
The Lions Club of Petaling Jaya has successfully organized “Blind Leading the Blind” Charity Walk over the last 6 years. Due to popular demand and encouraging response over the year, we are embarking on the 7th Charity Walk this year.
As the sponsoring Lions Club, we are indeed glad and grateful that our sponsored Leo Club have continuously supported us in making the event a success through fund raising and participation on event day. In order to further reward your club, the committee this year has decided to integrate an inter-club competition as part of the Charity Walk.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage more participation of Leo members, friends and family members to join us in creating awareness and visibility to the plight of the blind.
The respective Leo Clubs are encouraged to design banners, posters, distribute flyers or even compose songs to parade along the 3km journey. The prizes for this competition shall be as follows:
Champion: RM400 + Challenge Trophy
First Runner-up: RM300
Second Runner-up: RM200
Third Runner-up: RM100
Certificate of participation will be awarded to all Leo members who take part in the walk (Participating Leo Presidents will need to assist in coordinating the namelist).
