On the 14th of September 2012, the Assunta
Symphonic Band invited the Leo Club to attend their installation which was held
in the school hall. The theme for this year’s installation was ‘Prelude To New
Beginning’. A few of our Leos attended the event to give them support.
The installation begun at 1:30 p.m. and started off with a
speech by the out-going president. After her speech, certificates were given of
to all the out-going band members. Then, a video presentation was shown and was
followed by a performance by Form 4 band members. They played a few pieces such
as ‘Italliana’, ‘Three Ducks Went Wondering’ and ‘African Festival’.
The event continued by the installation of the juniors and
seniors. Then all the new board of the year 2012/2013 were called up to receive
their badges. A speech was given off by the incoming president and the teacher
advisor, Miss Boey. Another video presentation was shown dedicated to all the
out-going members.
The event ended at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments were provided at
the back of the hall for all the guests who attended the event. The Leos went
back at around 3:30 p.m. They enjoyed the event.
