One Day Scientist

On the 10th of December 2014, the Leo Club of Assunta Secondary school invited the children from the Agathians Children Shelter to visit KLCC's most famous, Petrosains Centre. In total, there were 13 Leos and 20 children from the home who attended this One Day Scientists project.

This project was carried out to allow the children from the home to experience being scientists for one day. The children were able to have fun while learning new things from the centre as it was full of scientific information. There were attractions like a space station and music factory. Every station they stop by, were filled with many games and each of these games had explanations behind them. This was, the children were able to read them after they enjoyed playing each game. The Leos were also guiding them throughout the project.

The One Day Scientists project was a great success as the children and the Leos had fun. We hope we could visit the Petrosains centre again someday. At the end of the day, the Leos and the children got to know each other and had some tit bits to eat on the way back home.
