On the 17th of March 2012, the Leo Club of SMK Assunta organized a trip to the Zoo Negara. We were told to reach school by 7.00a.m. because the bus was supposed to stop at a few other places. We left school at around 7.10a.m. and headed to pick the Leo club of SMK USJ8. Then, we went to pick the orphans from their home. We each got to know one orphan and they were our partners for the day. My partner was an Indian girl named Grace who was 16 years old. She was born on the 17th of May 1996 and goes to SMK USJ8. She likes to read and draw. We were supposed to find out basic information about our partner as we were tested in the bus to find out if we knew them well enough.
The drive took about 45 minutes and throughout the whole time, me and my partner were talking about school life and also our personal lives. We reached the zoo at about 8.00a.m. and the first thing we did, as usual, was to take a group picture at the entrance of the zoo. We went into the zoo and there were many animals there. The first animals we saw upon entrance were the giraffes. They kids were so excited. My partner had this small kid, who was was actually the caretaker's grandaughter, and who also stuck to her like glue. Her name was Emma Joy and she's 6 years old. Her sister was my friends partner. The little kids mainly enjoyed the animals. We saw all sorts of animals, big and small.
Soon after, we went to see the animal show. The acts performed were really amazing. They had an eagle, some flamingos and 2 seals. The best part of the whole show i would have to say was the seals. They were so cute and each animal did a performance. I think everyone enjoyed the animal show, even the grown-ups who came. After the animal show, we went to see the penguins and then had our lunch. After lunch, we left the zoo and headed home.
