On the 23rd
of May 2012, Leos gathered after school to help prepare gifts for the
much-awaited Teacher’s Day celebration. The goal was to present the teachers
with a token of appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to the
students. Leos worked tirelessly for two hours to prepare 120 gifts for the
teachers and staff of the school. The outcome was a little bag filled with 8
colourful sweets, a red pen with a heart-shaped pipe cleaner wrapped around it
and a tag saying Happy Teacher’s Day!
Teacher’s Day was
celebrated on the25th of May 2012. Several Leos were up and early at school
handing out the gifts by 7.00 in the morning. All the teachers were overjoyed
to receive the little bag from the Leos and many hugs and “Thank you’s” were
exchanged along the way. The headmistress, Pn. Rita was gifted a little snow
globe and heart-shaped hook to hang her handbag at the edge of the table.
The teacher advisors
of the Leo Club, Puan Betty and Puan Martita were also given a snow globe and
the little crystal hook for all their love, patience, guidance and dedication to
the club. Without them, we could not have possibly have been as successful as
we are today! The Leos did not forget to thank the office staff, the lab assistants,
the canteen operators and the caretakers of the schoo as well. The Leos were
roaring with love as they handed out gifts unconditionally to everyone who had
contributed to the school.
So, thank you teachers for : taking a hand, opening a mind, and touching a heart.
