A Report on the Treasure Muffins for Fun Hunt

          On the 24th of April 2012, a few members of the Leo Club of SMK Assunta came together to bake muffins for the participants of the Assunta Charity Fun Hunt. The Fun Hunt was an activity organized by the alumni of SMK Assunta to raise money for charity. The Fun Hunt brought together over 400 people from all around the area for a huge game of Treasure Hunt requiring participants to run all the way from SMK Assunta to Sunway Pyramid! In conjunction with the Fun Hunt, the Leo Club of SMK Assunta decided to bake muffins to be sold.

          The Leo members who took part worked closely with the Leo teacher advisor, Pn Betty Toh who is an amazing cook, to produce the muffins. The cooking room was filled with Leo girls and even though there were more that turned out to help, they had to be turned down because as they say, too many cooks spoil the broth. Each pair of Leo girls worked quickly to make about 4 to 5 trays of muffins each. In the end, there was more than 100 muffins that they had made.

          The whole time that the Leos were baking the muffins, there were no accidents except for one point where the electricity went off. Although it was off, the Leos still persevered and they ended up baking the muffins using a gas oven. After the muffins were done, they were ready to be packed and sold. A few Leo girls worked together to pack the muffins while other sold them. Two muffins were sold for RM 1. Lion Malcolm who was also present made delicious pasta for all the Leos who helped bake the muffins.

          Being good Leos, they made sure the cooking room was spotless the way it had been before. Everyone worked together and in no time, the cooking room was as spotless. Everyone had a good time working together baking the muffins. Under the watchful eye of Pn. Betty Toh, all the muffins turned out nicely and they were sold out quickly too. Hopefully, others projects like this one will be done again.
